Clik here to view. You guys, it hurts my fingers to type these words out, but Britney Spears has broken up with yet another boyfriend. Her man of eight months, Charlie something ... Charlie Ebersol? Whatever. Does it even matter what his name is? Anyway, it's over, and an insider is hinting at what might be the problem.
The source, who told Us magazine that he/she felt Ebersol was "in it for the wrong reasons," also says Spears "doesn't like being alone." And that little statement there (if it's true) could explain why Spears has always been so "unlucky" in love.
Maybe it has nothing to do with luck. Maybe it's that Spears would rather be with someone for the wrong reasons than alone for the right ones. And who can blame her? She's been supporting herself since her teens, and being a world-famous pop star must feel incredibly lonely. The woman needs some support.
More from The Stir: Britney Spears Breaks Up With Boyfriend for Worst Reason
But it's been less than a year since Spears broke up with David Lucado, allegedly because he cheated on her. She didn't even catch her breath before moving on to the next guy.
Isn't this getting boring? For Britney Spears and for all of us? I mean, I could go on and on about how she needs her alone time to process her previous relationship before she jumps to the next one, learn to love herself first, and all that jazz. But mostly I can't help wondering, isn't she getting tired of this routine?
Mix it up a little! How about a six-month silent retreat at an ashram? Or take the boys and move to Marfa, Texas, for a year. Mysteriously disappear into Argentina and come back to make tango dancing the Next Big Thing. Please, Britney, do something interesting with your life! Not just for the bored writers like me but because you can and it would be amazing.
Or go back to more of the same, showbiz and bad boyfriends. ZZZZZ. Your choice.
How long before Britney Spears moves on to the next guy? We're taking bets.
