You know how we just couldn't get enough of those Biore strips that yank out your blackheads? Well, if you've already mined your face for your own, you're in luck. A doctor is posting videos of blackhead extractions. Go on -- you know you can't resist looking!
You're going to find this either beyond gross or strangely satisfying. Or maybe both.
Doctor Sandra Lee, also known as Dr. Pimple Popper, is a perfectly respectable skin cancer specialist and cosmetic surgeon. But she knows what we like, and what we like is to watch yucky stuff get squished out of skin pores. So she posts videos of her tools in action on Instagram and YouTube.
Here's an example of her handiwork -- and I warn you. It's SO GROSS OMGOMGOMG. I can't handle it. Maybe you can? But I cannot!

"It keeps going, it keeps going ..." That phrase is going to live in my nightmares now. Thanks Dr. Pimple Popper!
I could spend all day posting these little videos in this post, but I think you get the idea. (Excuse me while I go breathe into a paper bag for a few minutes.)
Lee tells BuzzFeed News,“For many, I think there is an enormous feeling of satisfaction or resolution when they watch blackheads being extracted or pimples being popped." And it's true, I have to admit it. But it comes at such a high cost! My lunch. Ughhh.

Why do we find that so satisfying to watch, though? It goes beyond the garden variety before/after buzz. It's like our souls are cleansed when we watch it happen. Order is restored to the universe. A little bit of horror has been exorcised from the world. And I think there's also a bit of vicarious relief. It's almost as if Dr. Pimple Popper just cleared our pores.
Here's the most amazing thing. Lee does these extractions for free! Apparently insurance companies don't usually pay for them. So she offers to do them anyway in exchange for permission to film and post the procedures. We never know the identities of these people, so why not?
Just a reminder -- this kind of work is best done by a doctor or arithmetician using the right, sanitized tools.
What do you think about these blackhead extraction videos?
