Use it or lose it: That's the advice Toni Braxton's gynecologist gave her recently. The mom of two has been divorced since 2013. But as she was telling the women of The View, she still hasn't moved on in one important way, and her doctor thinks she better do something about that before it's too late.
"My gynecologist told me, 'Toni, you need to start using your vagina more.'" Okay, then! Looks like Ms. Braxton needs to get some action, doctor's orders.
"I said that out loud, didn't I?" the singer later said on HuffPost Live. "I need to start dating. I've been divorced almost two years and I haven't really meant anyone I've liked yet, so I haven't really been out there." She also claims guys just aren't asking her out. "They'll say 'hi,' or 'I love your work' or 'I'd love to get together some time' but they never really follow it through."
More from The Stir: Sex After Divorce: Are Hookups Healthy?
Wow, getting back out there is challenging even for a gorgeous woman like Toni Braxton. And I have to agree with her doctor -- she really should be sharing her gifts more often, you know? It feels intimidating at first, but take it from this divorced mom: All you've got to do is dip your toes in the water and you'll find it's pretty nice.
And you need that sex. You really do. The endorphins, the connection -- it's so important for your mental health. I'm not joking about that. Sex is important for every woman.
But how to lure them in?
That's the big mystery. For the life of me, I have no idea why men aren't on Braxton's trail. (It's the short hair, 100 percent.) Maybe she's hanging with the wrong crowd? (It's stupid and trivial and shouldn't matter but you'd be surprised how weird men are about hair length, trust me.) I wish her better luck, though. Because I bet there's SOMEBODY worthy out there who'd just love to be first in line to help her use what God gave her. (P.S. You can always cut your hair short again after he's hooked.)
