So there are some rumors circulating that if Romney were president, he would get rid of FEMA. Get out! Is it true? Let's address those rumors and find out what he's really saying. In a primary debate, Romney said he supported letting FEMA shut down and handing responsibility to disaster relief to states. "Any time you have an occasion to take something from the federal government and send it back to the states, that's the right direction. And if you can go even further and send it back to the private sector, that's even better." Because we're just going further and further into debt and passing that debt onto our children is just immoral. Okay, got that? Going into debt to pay for disaster relief is immoral.
