Attention bacon lovers: Paul Quinn College in Texas is officially banning pork from its campus cafeteria. College president Michael J. Sorrell made the announcement in a recent newsletter. Say goodbye to pork sausage, pork rinds, pork chops, pork 'n' beans, pork belly, all of it. Th-th-th-that's all folks! This is a piggy-free zone. The pork ban is part of an ongoing campus-wide health initiative. Paul Quinn has a farmers' market and even grows its own vegetables in a football field-sized plot. So ... okay, I love a good health initiative. Good on Mr. Sorrell for trying to get students to eat healthier. But the pork ban? I don't know. That sounds a little nutty.![]()
