We lost a star early this morning: Donna Summer, the Queen of Disco, passed away today at the age of 63 after a long fight with cancer. She leaves behind husband Bruce Sudano, their daughters Brooklyn and Amanda, and another daughter by a previous marriage, Mimi Sommer.
Donna's earned her title as the Queen of Disco with five Grammys. She was also the first artist to have three consecutive double albums reach number one on Billboard.
Donna was still performing and recording up to the very end. Here are six of our favorite Donna Summer songs -- but you know we could have just gone on and on with our favorites.
This is my favorite! "I Feel Love" from 1977. Do you feel love, too?

Donna's steamiest single, "Love to Love You." She stopped singing this one for a while after she became a born-again Christian. But later in life she started singing it again. Aw yeah!

"Hot Stuff." Let me see you pump your hands in the air!

Donna's anthem for working women everywhere: "She Works Hard for the Money." I love that she wears a waitress uniform when she sings this song.

Some late 1980s Donna, "This Time I Know It's for Real." Wow, taking me back.

You know we had to include this one: "Last Dance." Here she is at the Nobel Peace Prize Concert at 2009 where she looks and sounds amazing. This is how I want to remember her.
