So this just happened: A Florida man wearing nothing but underwear stabbed his computer with a samurai sword when police tried to search it for kiddie porn. Did you catch all that? There's a lot there: Grown man in his undies, child pornography, samurai swords. If this doesn't say batshit crazy, I don't know what does.
Obviously the idea of child pornography makes most of us throw up in our mouths. We'd love to see this man rot in jail for a good long time if that's what he really had going on.
But the rest of it? The image I have in my mind, now! Some crazy man in (no doubt old, baggy, stained) underwear whacking a computer with a two-handed sword. Lordy, it's like something out of a Quentin Tarantino movie!
So the good news (if you can call it that) is that Kamil Mezalka did not "kill" his computer. The police were still able to find hundreds of porn files. If Kamil is convicted, he could face 5 to 20 years in prison. He's already admitted he's attracted to teenage girls (he's 21) and "might have" downloaded porn showing girls 13 and younger.
Ew. There's a big difference between a 21-year-old man leering at girls a couple years younger than himself and a 21-year-old man leering at girls who are barely into puberty. Lock this one up!
Supposedly he once saved his mom with that sword. His father was trying to strangle her and he threatened his dad with a sword to get him to stop. So he's not all bad, I guess? But obviously this is a dysfunctional family all around. It's ultimately just plain sad.
