Another Hunger Games sneak peek! I was pretty darn excited when I first learned Lenny Kravitz would be playing Katniss' stylist, Cinna. That teensy glimpse of him that we caught in last month's extended trailer is one of the reasons I'm so excited to see this movie.
Now here's more of Lenny playing Cinna -- and nailing it! And now that I've finished the book I'm relieved that the sneak peeks we've seen so far are from the 1st half of the book. There's so much more to this story than what we've seen in clips!

Oh he's good, isn't he? You just know Cinna is going to be brilliant at making sure Katniss gets noticed. My favorite thing about this character is the way he always does the unexpected. I can't wait to see the full effect of Cinna's creations on the big screen! And you have to admit, Lenny Kravitz sure does rock the gold eyeliner.
This scene also gives us some background info on the Hunger Games themselves. It's not just about throwing a bunch of teenagers into a forest and letting them all kill each other. This is a complex competition that begins long before those kids arrive on the battle field. Sponsors?!? Oh yes -- the Hunger Games are like reality TV mashed up with American Idol mashed up with the Olympics.
Like I said, even with all the sneak peeks there is SO MUCH MORE to this movie! Don't you hate it when you watch a preview and you feel like you've already seen the whole movie, so what's the point? Not here. I'm still craving the whole tamale.
