A week after four people were found dead in a burned Washington, D.C. home police believe they have found their suspect. 34-year-old Daron Dylon Wint was spotted relaxing on his father's porch a day after the horrific murders of Savvas and Amy Savopoulos, their 10-year-old son Philip, and their housekeeper Veralicia Figueroa. He is still at large. And two teenagers are now orphans.
Police believe Wint held the family captive and tortured them overnight in order to extort money. Savopoulos was CEO of American Iron Works, Inc. His assistant delivered a $40,000 to the home shortly before it was set on fire. Savopoulos was expecting the money -- it was for a gym he was opening -- but apparently the attacker(s) knew he was expecting it as well. The murderer left with money and a car belonging to Savopoulos. But he left behind a key piece of evidence.
DNA left on pizza crust at the scene points to Wint as the suspect. A local Domino's confirms pizza was delivered to the home the night of the attack. That's how sick this attacker is: He ordered and ate pizza while torturing a family, including a 10-year-old child.
Two members of the Savopoulos family were spared. 19-year-old Abigail and 16-year-old Katerina were away at boarding school at the time. But imagine what it must feel like, to lose your parents and little brother suddenly, and in such a violent way.

As for the suspect, Wint has a record that includes sexual assault and theft. An unnamed person related to Wint described him to ABC News as "very hostile, he's arrogant. He doesn't listen."
Will the police find him? I hope so. Four people were murdered in a grisly way. Two girls have lost their family. One man, Figueroa's husband, has been left a broken-hearted widower. Everyone in the are surely has their eyes peeled for anyone who looks like Wint.
UPDATE: Police believe Wint may be in the Brooklyn/New York City area. They also say he may have worked at Savopoulos' business, American Iron Works, at some point.
