How often do you feel totally out of sync with your man? Is he up when you're down? Is he wired when you're fried? Are you a whirling dervish of activity while he's in shut-down mode? There may be a good reason for that.
Well, there's a good reason why you might not be in the mood for intimacy at the same time, anyway. A super-helpful new survey of 2,300 people shows that men like to get frisky at 7:54 A.M. while we prefer playtime at 11:21 P.M. Of course, because that is the only time that makes sense. How are you supposed to have a roll in the hay at 7:54 A.M.?!?
You know what I'm usually doing at that time? I'm running around, stuffing lunches into a backpacks, gulping down coffee, yelling at my son to GET DRESSED WE ARE LATE because in exactly six minutes we have to be out the door to meet the school bus. I don't even have time to hold hands at 7:54 A.M., let alone make love. Are you joking with this, men?
More from The Stir: Morning Sex Is the Secret to Having Any Sex at All
So, men prefer having sex between the hours of 6 A.M. and noon. And we know why -- because they usually wake up ready, that's why. But frankly, who doesn't like making love that early? If you're enjoying a romp in the sheets at mid-morning that means it's the weekend or you're on vacation, and the kids are out of the picture, at least for the moment. Just that scenario alone is almost enough to make me climax.
But the reality is most days our routines do not accommodate men's desires. Sorry, guys! Maybe we could persuade you to join us at the end of the day, when kids are asleep and we're finally alone. That or you're going to have to wake us up much earlier with something really, really special.
Does this ring true for you, or are your desire schedules more in sync?
