Clik here to view.Scientists have just proven that love really is blind. As in, apparently when we're passionately in love we imagine our beloved's face as vastly more handsome that it really is. Worse, we find him more trustworthy as well. Oh woe, this explains so much!
In a very cruel and telling study, scientists discovered that we women tend to idealize the faces of men we feel passionate love for. And we find those faces more trustworthy. They didn't get around to testing the men to see if they do the same with women's faces (we'd love to know!).
I suppose the part about finding him more attractive isn't so bad. I mean, it's not the worst thing in the world if you think your man is hotter than everyone else does. But the trustworthy part, that's where they get you.

There you are, staring into the eyes of your beloved, thinking foolish thoughts like "he'll always leave the toilet seat down!" And "I will mate with this one and he will always feed and clothe our brood properly!" "I won't ever hear him refer to caring for his own children as 'babysitting.'" "I can depend on him to take our son to an Easter egg hunt and he definitely will not lose our only begotten in the middle of the crowded, gigantic city park filled with scary strangers." Wait, was that last example too specific?

CLEARLY evolution has engineered love to trap US into mating with men, carrying their seed and then raising their offspring for them.
Otherwise, we'd be a lot more clear-eyed from the start.
How "tricked" were you by your S.O. when you first fell in love?
