You know that experiment where you drop Mentos candies inside a bottle of Coke and watch it explode like a sugary geyser at Yellowstone? Well, someone's taken that to a whole new extreme: A man covered himself in Mentos, filled at bathtub with Coke Zero, and jumped right in.
Is this the ultimate DIY Jacuzzi? Bath bombs gone to the extreme? Should we stop buying bath fizz at Lush and do this instead? Or is this going to land you in the emergency room? (Oh my, how to explain that one ...)
Well, let's watch and see how this guys fares.

And. Is anyone else just a little bit disappointed? I was hoping for something a little more explosive. I mean, I don't want to see the poor guy hurt. (Somewhere, a mother watches, wondering if all that college tuition money was a waste.) But in the end, what we have here is a goofy kid sitting in a sticky bath of fizzy, liquid sugar.
I wonder how it felt -- did the fizz give him a bit of a kick at least? And maybe it's the mom in me, but I can't help watching this and wondering who is going to clean up this mess, and how long is he going to find sticky, brown patches of splattered Coke around his bathroom.
I just hope my own son doesn't see this video and get inspired. Because I think the takeaway here is USE MOREMENTOS.
I'm not encouraging anyone to take this to the next level. I'm just saying. I wonder what would happen if you took a birthing tub outdoors, and you filled that with Coke. And then stuck about 10 times as many Mentos candies. There must be some scientific way to calculate many Mentos you need to shoot a human body out of a tub of soda.
But I'm definitely NOT recommending anyone try that! Kids. No.
