It looks like JLaw has found her ultimate red carpet look! Jennifer Lawrence dazzled at The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part I premiere in Los Angeles last night. There was no tripping, and there were no wardrobe malfunctions. It was just the actress at her most poised, wearing a stunning gown that looks both classic and edgy. Can you say "POOF"? You've got to see this dress!

It's no surprise to learn that the face of Dior was wearing a Dior couture gown. What is surprising is the poofiness of Lawrence's skirt. The sleeveless gown has a perfectly fitted bodice and then pops out just at the hips for an exaggerated princessy silhouette -- but just slightly exaggerated. It's more playful than weird, which is how we'd have to characterize Lawrence, too.

The dress really suits a tall woman like Lawrence. We love the understated, almost pearly gleam of the jacquard gown, too. So elegant, especially with the gold sandals and clutch. And the minimal makeup with the half updo is perfection.
She looks every bit the confident actress who can carry a hugely popular action franchise, doesn't she?
Perez Hilton claims this dress was a last-minute switch for Lawrence and that she had already gotten a pink and blue manicure for the other dress. (It looks beige and black to us, actually.) If that's true, Lawrence made a smart choice. In any case, she clearly saved the drama for the red carpet -- and the big screen. Well played, Katniss!
