Veterans Day Restaurant Deals: Where to Eat for Free

It may seem small and simple, but a great way to thank a military service member is to share a meal with them. A lot of business owners across the country feel the same way, which is why there are so many restaurants offering veterans and military service members free meals and specials around Veterans Day. We've rounded up a long list of popular eateries giving back this year. We hope plenty of our heroes are able to enjoy these offers, because you deserve that and so much more.

The following offers are for both veterans and active-duty military members. 

Applebee's: On the 11th, receive a free signature "Thank You Meal." Please bring valid ID or be in uniform.

Bar Louie: On the 11th and 12th, get a free lunch or dinner up to $12 value with your military ID or proof of service.

Bob Evans: On the 11th, enjoy a free all-you-can-eat breakfast of hotcakes with a valid military ID.

Bonanza Steakhouse: On Tuesday current and former service members can enjoy a free buffet at select locations; call your local restaurant for details.

California Pizza Kitchen: Enjoy a special Veterans Day menu item when you dine in uniform or bring military ID or other proof of service.

Carrabba's: Receive a free appetizer November 8 through November 11 at participating locations.

Chili's: Get a free meal from a special Veterans Day menu with proof of service.

Chuck E. Cheese's: Enjoy 20 free tokens Tuesday through Saturday with military ID or proof of service.

Friendly's: On Tuesday the restaurant is offering a free meal from among their Big Two-Dos breakfast options, or an All-American Burger with fries and beverage for lunch or dinner. Bring valid military ID or honorable discharge card. 

Golden Corral: On Monday, November 17 from 5-9 p.m., enjoy a free meal from the buffet including a drink. No ID required.

Hooters: On the 11th, receive a free meal up to $10.99 in value with drink purchase and military ID or proof of service.

IHOP: On Tuesday get free Red, White, and Blue pancakes from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Offer also comes as a combo plate including eggs, bacon, and hash browns at select locations.

Krispy Kreme: Get a free donut and coffee at participating stores, no ID required.

Longhorn Steakhouse: The restaurant is offering a free "Texas Tonion" appetizer and non-alcoholic beverage on Tuesday, November 11.

Max & Erma's: On the 11th, enjoy a free cheeseburger combo meal with dessert.

Menchie's: On Tuesday get a free six-ounce yogurt any time of the day with military ID or uniform.

Olive Garden: On Tuesday the restaurant is offering a free meal from their special menu.

On the Border: On the 11th, enjoy a free "Create Your Own Combo Menu" meal.

Orange Leaf Frozen Yogurt: On Tuesday get a free frozen yogurt up to 11 ounces with any proof of military service.

Outback Steakhouse: On the 11th, get a free Bloomin' Onion appetizer and beverage with valid ID, plus all military personnel get a 15 percent discount on their meals from November 12 through December 31.

Pie Five Pizza: On Tuesday receive a free individualized pizza with military ID.

Ponderosa Steakhouse: The restaurant is offering a free buffet meal to vets and current service members on Monday, November 17.

Red Lobster: Monday, November 10 through Thursday, November 13, get a free appetizer from a special menu with ID.

Red Robin: On Tuesday enjoy a free Tavern Double Burger and Bottomless Steak Fries.

Ruby Tuesday: The restaurant is offering free appetizers on the 11th.

Shoney's: On the 11th, enjoy a free All-American Burger and fries.

Sizzler: On Tuesday receive a free lunch featuring a six-ounce Tri-Tip steak, or a single Malibu chicken, or a half dozen fried shrimp with choice of non-alcoholic beverage.

Starbucks: On Tuesday get a free Tall (12-ounce) brewed coffee.

Texas Roadhouse: On the 11th, enjoy a free meal from their special veterans lunch menu including beverage and sides.

Tim Hortons: On Tuesday get a free dounut with military ID or uniform.

Village Inn: On the 11th, enjoy a free breakfast of buttermilk pancakes, three slices of French toast, or a Belgian waffle.

Wayback Burgers: On Tuesday receive one free menu item.

Zoës Kitchen: On Tuesday enjoy a free entree with your military ID, plus get 10 percent off your family's meal as well.
