Clik here to view.If you find your pulse racing during Super Bowl XLVI on Sunday night, don't count on it resting during the commercial breaks. Looks like the movie trailers airing between touchdowns are all action-packed, metal-scraping, explosive, testosterone-fueled blockbusters.
Meanwhile, those of us who like movies cast in a soft glow, with sensitive men declaring their undying love to actresses in fab dresses are Out. Of. Luck. This is SO not our moment. Nope, Super Bowl Sunday is night of a thousand acts of aggression, and it doesn't end in the stadium. Check out the upcoming flicks that'll be blasting on big-screen TVs all over America this weekend.
Act of Valor
This is a clever twist on the military drama: Instead of a film based on actual events, this is a fictional story portrayed by real, active duty U.S. Navy Seals! It's also based on real Navy Seal missions. It looks absolutely thrilling -- and terrifying. And what I love about the film is that it tethers these men -- who have the most dangerous jobs in the world -- to their families at home. We never forget what's at stake for them. This looks to me like the best movie of the bunch.

The Avengers
And now for something a little lighter. This is just a wee teaser for the film, which features a gang of Marvel comic heroes battling it out to save Planet Earth. Scarlett Johanssen stars as Black Widow, Robert Downey, Jr. as Iron Man, Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Chris Evans as Captain America, and Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye. Marvel released the full trailer back in October, but can you blame them for wanting to flash their action mojo during the Super Bowl?

Battleship
I never thought I'd see Rhianna and Liam Neeson in the same film together, but here they are! This sci fi action thriller strikes me as a cross between Transformers and Independence Day. A mysterious alien battleship emerges in the sea -- and then sets to attack Earth! Who will save the day? Anyway, this preview makes me want to hide under the sofa, but I'm just a big scardey cat. I think thrill-seekers will be all over it.

G.I. Joe: Retaliation
And then there's G.I. Joe, starring Bruce Willis (Bruce! Still looks like he's made of granite.), The Rock, and... Jay Z? Just in spirit. You gotta love a movie trailer that features The Rock reciting lyrics from Jay Z's "Don't Let Me Die:" "Whatever deity guides my life, dear Lord, don't let me die tonight." Aw yeah.
