The 14th Annual Chocolate Show came to New York City this weekend -- a giant room filled with chocolate, chocolate, and more chocolate. And what could be better than eating it? Wearing it, of course! Every year the show kicks off with a fashion show featuring ensembles created out of chocolate.
Models walk down the runway in these outfits, risking a wardrobe meltdown. I caught the delicious fashions on display this weekend and snapped a few shots of my favorites. The theme this year was Broadway, and here's Miss Playbill herself to the left.
You may be thinking chocolate dress = brown. But no! Here is Glinda the Good Witch, all in white chocolate with a little green, blue, and sparkle mixed into her gown.
This lady magician is from the current Cirque du Soleil show Zarkana. Needless to say, no one will be performing acrobatics in this outfit any time soon. I'd love to borrow the hat, though.
Direct from Cabarets of Paris, we have the two most important things to women: chocolate and bras. Together at last! I can't believe I haven't seen this combination before. Quick, someone mass produce this and put it on the market!
Morticia Addams from The Addams Family likes her chocolate dark, extra-extra dark. But of course, dahhhling.
This is probably the biggest chocolate truffle I've ever seen: a headdress from The Lion King shaped like the villain lion Scar. And you thought he was so scary and evil! Here he is looking positively sweet.
Finally, a spectacular outfit from the Tony Award-winning show Follies. This one was my favorite -- absolutely the most dazzling thing I've ever seen made out of chocolate.
Which of these fabulous chocolate fashions is your favorite?
