Fun fact about that list of men Lindsay Lohan supposedly slept with: She's never actually admitted to writing it. LiLo has remained coy about the now-infamous list. But one brave celeb is taking a stand and telling the truth. Or, anyway, we assume he is. James Franco says he did not! Have! Sexual relations! With that woman! Lindsay Lohan!
While discussing his new book of poetry about Hollywood and celebrities titled Directing Herbert White, Franco said, "I don't write anything bad about them [celebs]. And Lindsay herself has told lies about me with her people-she's-slept-with list!" So fine, I guess we could take Franco's word for it and say he doesn't belong on LiLo's list. But if that one name is a lie, what does that imply for the whole list?
I think we all enjoyed the daily trickle of names from that list, and we teetered over all the married men mentioned. But in the backs of our minds, we always knew: The whole thing could very well be a hoax. Because come on, how gross/desperate do you have to be to write a list like that and then accidentally-on-purpose leave it behind? Would LiLo really act out that way while she's supposedly in recovery?
Ugh, you know what? Maybe those are questions we should leave unanswered.
Regardless, I'm still leaning toward the hoax theory. Even though Franco did write a couple poems about La Lohan in his new book -- and yes, of course I'm curious to see what he has to say -- I suspect they're more from the perspective of a media critic than a lover. But who knows? Maybe they're love poems -- love from afar. Way far afar.
Even if Lindsay did write that list with her own hand, it's entirely possible that she lied, lied, lied. That's the saddest scenario of all. I have to admit, a small part of me would be disappointed to know Lindsay didn't sleep with that many celebs.
Do you think Lindsay's list is a hoax or do you think it's the real deal?
