Ladies and gentlemen, it's another Muppet movie! Yaaaaaay! Your weird, furry friends are back with another movie, Muppets Most Wanted, starring Ricky Gervais, Tina Fey, and Ty Burrell. The movie takes you to far-flung, glamorous locations such as: Madrid! London! Berlin! And the Gulag! Yes, that famously harsh prison in Siberia. You'll love it there. The Muppets sing, dance, and make gags. Did I mention the cameos? You guys, they make Christoph Waltz waltz. I kid you not. Most importantly, there are now two Kermits.

Okay, not really. Ricky Gervais plays a shady manager who takes on the Muppets and puts them on tour through Europe. Meanwhile, the world's most notorious villain, Constantín, escapes from the Gulag, and guess what? 1. Ricky Gervais is secretly his bad-guy sidekick, and 2. He looks just like Kermit, only with a mole and he's super mean. The inevitable ensues. Kermit gets thrown into the Gulag (where Tina Fey is a guard) while Constantín tries to impersonate Kermit while carrying out a heist of the British crown jewels. GASP.

So, is it as good as The Muppets movie, the comeback movie starring Jason Segal and featuring music by Bret McKenzie of Flight of the Conchords? Of course not! There's even a whole musical number where they admit as much. But it comes close. McKenzie is back doing the music. Ricky Gervais fits it with the Muppets like he's one of them. And Ty Burrell was the big surprise for me, showing hilarious range as a Frenchie Interpol agent.

More from The Stir: 11 Reasons 'The Muppets' Movie Isn't Just for Kids (VIDEO)

I asked my 10-year-old son what he thought the ideal audience age range would be for Muppets Most Wanted, and he said 7 and up because younger kids might not get all the jokes. I think you could probably get away with bringing kids younger than that. They will be entertained.

So will you! So long as you're not strongly opposed to puns. The movie has more grown-up jokes than kid jokes, in fact. There's no deeply soulful moment like "Man or Muppet," but the movie still has plenty of heart and depth. And you'll laugh your head off with your kids, so what could be better than that?
