Clik here to view.Psst, is it time for your mid-afternoon break? Maybe you need a little pick-me-up of the cocktail variety? Well, I can't pour you a martini from here, but I've got a cocktail-fueled treat. You have to see thisvideo for Beyoncé's song "Drunk in Love" -- done in emoji. ALL OF IT! It's so adorable I can hardly write words -- I just want to load up this post with little pictures of hands clapping and girls in pink going all heart-eyed.
Those of you who don't know what "emoji" are: Hey, it's all right -- you're not alone! They're these cute little images you can insert into text messages, kind of like advanced emoticons. I'm not doing a very good job of making this video sound not cheesy. It's not, I swear! Okay, it's a little bit cheesy. But in a way you'll love. Just check it out.

I think one of the reasons so many of us cannot stop talking about this video -- let alone stop watching it over and over again -- is because we use these emoji, too. I use them when I text my boyfriend, and it slays me to see some of my favorites popping up here. It's this weird kind of intimacy, seeing the visual language you use in your most private messages showing up in a video for a love song. There's just something perfect about that -- but also a bit uncanny, in the Freudian sense.
Also? I totally overlooked the utility of the eggplant. I am definitely working that one into my emoji repertoire.
Anyway, this is an "unofficial" video, meaning it wasn't created by Beyoncé's team. It's the work of fan Jesse Hill. But it has been endorsed by Beyoncé via Facebook! Thanks, Jesse, for being the reason why I haven't gotten anything else done today ...
Do you use any of these emoji?
