What is up Drake's butt? Has he always been this big of a jerk and I just didn't notice? Yesterday he was whining via Twitter about the interview he did with Rolling Stone. I guess they misquoted him commenting on Kanye West's album, Yeezus. But the worst is what he followed that up with: "They also took my cover away from me last minute and ran the issue." Did I mention Rolling Stone replaced Drake's cover photo with a photo of newly-deceased Philip Seymour Hoffman? How dare they!
Drake knows why he got bumped from the cover, right? I mean, I'm sure the magazine didn't just call him up and say, "No cover for you okthanxbye." They probably explained that due to the sudden and tragic death of an actor with major credibility in the entertainment world, they were putting Hoffman on their cover instead. BECAUSE YES, THAT'S MORE RELEVANT, DRAKE. What a narcissist!
By way of apology, or whatevergy, Drake followed up with another tweet: "RIP to Philip Seymour Hoffman. All respect due. But the press is evil." Okay, Drake. That was suuuper respectful. The press is still evil for not running your cover and supposedly misquoting you. But you're real sad and all that for whatshisname. I'm amazed he bothered to spell out Hoffman's full name in the tweet.
In the same Rolling Stone interview, Drake hits Macklemore, too, for the way he gave a shout out to other artists when he won his Grammy. Macklemore Instagrammed a text he sent to rapper Kendrick Lamar, reading, "You got robbed. I wanted you to win." Which is sweet and gracious. But Drake says, "That sh*t was wack as f*ck. It felt cheap. It didn't feel genuine."
What does he care, how Macklemore paid tribute to a colleague after his win? What a crank. Maybe Drake is so busy treating Rihanna like a queen, it uses up all his niceness and he has none left for anyone else.
What do you think of Drake's reaction to getting bumped from the Rolling Stone cover by Philip Seymour Hoffman?
