Ooh, it's been a brutal winter, and we still have weeks to go. How will we ever survive? Through the magic of crock-pot stews, that's how! After trudging home from work through the cold and slush I would really appreciate it if there were a hot meal waiting for me. Why isn't that happening? Because 1. I haven't taught my 10-year-old how to cook yet and because 2. I don't have servants. But there is a work-around! Ye olde crock-pot. Just a little prep before I leave for the day and dinner will be waiting to warm my belly by night. Here's some soul-warming stews we think will hit the spot.
