Oh hey, look who's up for another Teen Choice award? Our favorite fantasy couple, Bella and Edward from Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn 2. Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson are nominated for Best Liplock -- just for old times' sake. It's probably the last time we'll see those two nominated together for anything. Doesn't it make you feel a little wistful?
They'd better win, too. Even though their real-life romance crashed and burned, Bella and Edward's love will live forever in the hearts of fans. The other couples in the running, Amy Adams and Henry Cavill, Skylar Astin and Anna Kendrick, Alden Ehrenreich and Alice Englert, Logan Lerman and Emma Watson, how can they possibly compete with immortal vampire love? They can't.
So I think we all agree Kristen and Rob should win, and WILL win. There's only one problem with that: The awkwardness of accepting the award. It's not like they're both going to show up and re-create the kiss for us, not after all they've been through. I'd be surprised if either of them showed up at all. SIGH.
Is it funny that the nominations were announced on the one-year anniversary of when KStew was photographed cheating on RPattz? Yes, that's today, July 17. Photos of Kristen and Rupert Sanders canoodling by the side of the road hit the Internets days later, starting July 24. Meanwhile, Kristen and Rob had just made a sweet appearance together at the 2012 Teen Choice awards. What a wild ride it's been for us all, right? The apologies, the rumors, the breakup, the reconciliation, the Breaking Dawn 2 premieres, and then the final breakup. Ah, memories.
It's the end of an era, Twi-hards! THIS is why Kristen and Rob's liplock needs to win. We need a proper send-off, and the Teen Choice award would be perfect.
