Okay, let's have it, Miley Cyrus. Are you toking or what? Do you get high? Are you a stoner, a pot head? When are you just gonna come out and admit it?!? "You can't ask someone and expect them to say yes," Miley says in a recent interview. So once again, Miley isn't denying that she's friendly with Mary Jane, and she's not confirming it, either. But she still has a lot to say about it. For example, Miley says, "I think alcohol is way more dangerous than marijuana -- people can be mad at me for saying that, but I don't care."
ORLLY, Miley? Yes, really. "I've seen a lot of people spiral down with alcohol, but I've never seen that happen with weed." I've heard plenty of other people make the same claim. And yet, I know someone who is currently in recovery for his marijuana addiction. Of course pot has some medicinal benefits, especially for chronically ill patients. But I think the stuff can be tricky, especially for creative people who use it to fuel their output and to keep that magic feeling of inspiration going as long as possible.
Oh, but that's such a bummer. Let's go back to Happy Fun Times Miley Cyrus. "As long as it isn't illegal, there are far more dangerous things. And it's legal in the state of California. So I'm happy to live in California, a place where you can be whoever you want to be." Including a pot head! Not that Miley would describe herself that way.
What's with all the coyness about this open secret? She mentions the duet she did with Snoop Dogg, "Ashtrays and Heartbreak," and adds, "so people can put it together themselves," again hinting that she tokes, but refusing to explicitly admit it. Is it because of her age? I just feel like this hinting around is kind of silly and childish. I mean, speaking of Snoop, he's pretty explicit about his pot smoking. You actually can ask some people if they smoke and expect them to say yes.
Maybe when Miley turns 21, she'll come clean ... about pot smoking, that is. I kind of get the impression it's something she likes a lot, and maybe she's justifying her habit use with that remark about alcohol. I'm just going to be the boring grownup here who says beeee caaaaaarefullllllll ...
