Folks, we're getting conflicting reports on Kanye West's behavior at Kim Kardashian's baby shower. Up until the day, Kanye wasn't expected to show up for the shower at all. And well, we can see why. It was a froofy-frilly girly-girl fem fest. But he showed up anyway! What a mensch. And Kanye brought his sourface attitude with him, too, or so some say. Others say he was perfectly nice. But let's get into the bad behavior reports, because that sounds like more fun.
Supposedly Kanye showed up for the party late, just as guests were leaving. He put up his hoodie and hid his face from the cameras. "Whereas Kim was extremely gracious to all of her guests, and made it a point to spend time talking to them, Kanye looked like he had been sucking on lemons. Several of Kim’s friends felt sorry for her because Kanye just couldn’t put a genuine smile on his face," a source told Radar. He wasn't the only guy there -- Khloe's husband Lamar Odom, Kourtney's beau Scott Disick, and Kim's brother Rob were there. So he would have had dudes to talk with. Kanye apparently managed to leave early, too, which must mean he just breezed in for 30 seconds and then left. Poor Kim! I hope she didn't mind.
On the other hand, there are other reports that he was perfectly friendly and chatted up the guests.
I'm wondering why he bothered to show up, anyway. I know some couples throw baby showers where men and women are invited, but Kim Kardashian's baby showerganza seemed more like the traditional shower planned just with the ladies in mind. If he knew he was going to hate that shower so much and would be unable to control his disdain, shouldn't he have just stayed away? I mean really, this is why you hire a publicist -- so they can make up excuses for you to not show up for major life events. Kanye missed the doctor's visit where Kim found out they're having a girl, too!
Still, considering all the bad press Kanye's been getting for throwing public tantrums and rarely being seen anywhere with Kim, this sounds like another sign of trouble. Is Kanye too immature and selfish to put on a smile at an important family event -- to support Kim? Hope he grows up more before the baby's first birthday party.
