I don't know about you, but we love pizza at our place. We love pizza from the pizza joint around the corner, and we love making our own pizza at home. But for the ultimate pizza-inspired snack, there's pizza roll-ups made with crescent rolls. They're kind of like hot pockets without all the creepy, mysterious ingredients. Calzones without the insane calorie count. Best of all, they're fun and easy enough for kids to make with you. Here's a recipe for making your own crescent pizza roll-ups.
Crescent Pizza Roll-Ups
Ingredients:
1 (8-ounce) package refrigerated crescent rolls
1/4 cup pizza sauce
4 string cheese sticks, cut in half crosswise
1 (3.5-ounce) package pepperoni slices
2 Tablespoons melted butter
Grated Parmesan cheese
Italian seasonings
Garlic powder
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
2. Spread a thin layer of sauce on each unrolled triangle of dough. Place a few pepperoni slices on each triangle, then top with half a stick of string cheese. Roll dough and place on cookie sheet seam down.
3. Bake 10-15 minutes, until rolls are golden brown and cheese looks melted.
4. Brush each hot roll with melted butter and then sprinkle Parmesan cheese, seasonings, and garlic powder to taste.
