For those of you sick of all the usual formulaic rom-com movies, I give you: Two Mothers. It's a drama about two women who fall in love with each other's teenage sons. Did you catch that? Mom 1 falls in love with Mom 2's son, and Mom 2 falls in love with Mom 1's son. It's hard to wrap your head around this premise because Dear God What the Hell?!? Yes. The film is based on a Doris Lessing story called The Grandmothers, about two best friends who carry on passionate affairs with each other's sons, from the boys' teens into their early 30s. The film stars Naomi Watts and Robin Wright, so it's not hard to imagine how much-younger men would fall in love with them. But still -- how do we feel about moms having affairs with teenaged boys?![]()
